Boat Ramp Guide
Hi all, welcome to boat ramp guide. This blog is attached to Boat Launch, a website that helps people discover local boat facilities such as boat ramps, chandlers, and yacht clubs.
A couple of months ago I moved from a Melbourne suburb to the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria Australia. As a boating enthusiast I wanted to find where my nearest boating facilities were. I tried Google, of course, as you do, then Google Maps, but it was only able of returning results for businesses with websites. Boat ramps don't have website, so Google Maps was, for once, unable to satisfy my search.
I looked elsewhere, including local government, boating industries and the department of infrastructure, but no one was proving an online guide to boat ramps. So, I started building one myself.
If you're wanting yo find your local marine services and facilities, and in particular boat ramps, check out BoatLaunch.
